At Culture Camp we believe that summer camp should be a transformative experience for children. Our program is designed to encourage campers to step outside of their comfort zones, challenge themselves, and build resilience. We believe that these skills are essential for success in life.
We are are open to rising 4th-8th grade boys and girls.
Meet our Camp Director
Tiwana Henderson brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as the Founder and Director of Culture Camp a dynamic youth camp dedicated to fostering creativity, teamwork, and outdoor adventure in young people. With over a decade of professional experience she has honed her skills in organization, leadership, and strategic planning.
Tiwana is also the visionary behind the acclaimed "Play Streets" initiative in Columbus, Ohio. Launched to revitalize urban neighborhoods, Play Streets transforms local streets into safe, car-free zones where children can play freely and neighbors can come together to build stronger community ties. This initiative has been praised for promoting physical activity, reducing social isolation, and fostering a sense of community among residents.
Culture Camp is the culmination of Tiwana's dedication to youth development and community building. Her vision for Culture Camp is to create a nurturing environment where children can explore their interests, build confidence, and form lasting friendships.
Tiwana is an avid outdoor enthusiast who loves the Peloton, traveling, hiking and being a listening ear. She believes in the transformative power of nature and is dedicated to sharing her love of the outdoors with the next generation.
